Philosophy
The child at the heart of our thinking
At the heart of every learning process is the child: an independent, confident and unique individual. At Les Petits Gaulois, each child is an actor in their own learning journey. He takes charge of his education, explores ideas, and solves problems with curiosity and resilience.
Through successes and challenges, his self-confidence grows, allowing him to take risks, express himself and seize new opportunities, thus promoting his development and discovery.

Pedagogy
At Les Petits Gaulois, our teachers carefully design a variety of learning experiences — ranging from play to problem solving, through practical exploration and project work — by adapting their methods to the needs of the group and each child.
For our youngest students, special attention is paid to observation and imitation. By observing and interacting with peers and adults, children develop empathy, consider different perspectives, and become part of a supportive and caring learning community.
Our teaching team collaborates closely to create a shared repository of practices, tools, and resources — including books, toys, games, and learning materials — to create a cohesive and engaging classroom environment.
Problem solving, autonomy, and learning through research are at the core of our approach and we focus on five key ways of learning:
Learning through play
Learning by thinking and solving problems
Learning through research and by questioning the world
Learning by doing and by doing
Learn by memorizing and building knowledge over time

Supervision rate
At Les Petits Gaulois, we attach great importance to each child and emphasize their strengths and interests.
In order to guarantee personalized support for each child, we favor small classes, with a maximum of 14 children per class.
Our teacher/student ratios vary by grade, as follows:
Nursery: 1 for 6
Very Small Section: 1 for 6
Small Section: 1 for 8
Middle Section: 1 for 14
Large Section: 1 for 14
Our 4C model

Curiosity
Curiosity is the natural driving force behind learning. For young children, it is not limited to asking questions, but is expressed through exploration and discovery of the world around them.

Creativity
Creativity is essential for a child's cognitive, emotional, and social development. It is not limited to art or the imagination, but also includes the ability to think critically.

Confidence
Trust is a cornerstone of harmonious development, and cultivating it at an early age prepares children for future success.

Continuity
Continuity in a child's development refers to consistent experiences and steady progression over time. At Les Petits Gaulois, continuity plays an essential role.
