A small French school on East Coast Road.
Les Petits Gaulois opened its doors in 2014. Today we welcome around 100 children, in classes of fourteen, from 18 months to six years old. The school is run by its founder, Laura Messier, and a long-serving team of French and English mother-tongue teachers.

Laura founded Les Petits Gaulois in 2014. Her starting point was simple: she wanted a school where children would arrive happy, leave tired in the good way, and grow up confident in both French and English without one language stealing time from the other.
She runs the school day-to-day with Annabelle, our chef d’établissement, and Anne-Lyse on the administrative side. Parents speak with all three regularly. The decisions about your child are made by people you have met.
Our story
Eleven years of small classes and warm doors.
We started on East Coast Road because this is where our families live. The neighbourhood matters. Children walk to school, stop at the bakery, see their teachers at the market. The school feels like part of a real street, not an island.
We have grown carefully. We do not want the largest preschool in Singapore. We want one that parents can describe in a sentence: “It is small, it is French, and the children are happy.”

Sixteen people, one school.
Most of our team has been here for years. French teachers from France, English teachers trained in Singapore, a Mandarin teacher, a school principal, an administrator, and maternal aides. The children remember their teachers by name long after they have moved on to Primary 1.
